As a DJ, he explores genres with Black roots - connecting past, present, and future through energetic and eclectic sets. echo's sets evoke, move, and expand the audience's perception of music. As a cultural organizer, echo founded Carbon Sound in 2022 - a public radio station based in St. Paul, Minnesota dedicated to showcasing the depth and breadth of Black music and its foundational role in the canon of American music. He also founded The Vanguard during his time at the University of Minnesota's student-run station Radio K, an online music stream and social media platform highlighting local hip-hop and R&B artists in the Twin Cities
